Our History
A 70-Year Heritage Born in Lenoir City, TN
In 1953, Matlock Tire Service and Auto Repair began as a small service station in Lenoir City, TN. Founded by Joe Matlock, he believed in building a business on the idea of treating customers fairly and providing excellent service. Seven decades later, his son, Jimmy Matlock, has expanded Matlock Tire to multiple locations across East Tennessee, each one upholding the Matlock legacy of integrity, experience, and professionalism.

We are proud of our many long-term employees, many of whom have been part of the Matlock Tire Service and Auto Repair family for over 15 years. Several have even been contributing for more than 30 years! Much of our success is due to the dedication of our team, and their willingness to help our loyal customers.

With several ASE (National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence) certified technicians, you know that you’re in good hands at Matlock Tire Service and Auto Repair. They provide minor automotive repairs, oil changes, alignment services, brake work, and preventive maintenance. We are an authorized dealer for Goodyear, Michelin®, Uniroyal®, Kelley, and BF Goodrich. Additionally, we are the only authorized dealer in Knox and Loudon counties to carry the affordable Dunlop tire.
